Man United staff’s “angry” reaction to IShowSpeed’s FA Cup party invite is unnecessary
Manchester United’s staff were reportedly angry at IShowSpeed’s appearance at the club’s after-party following the FA Cup final win.
Manchester United‘s brilliant FA Cup final victory over Manchester City has been a saving grace for the club’s fans following a poor season under Erik ten Hag.
Goals from teenagers Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho sealed victory over Pep Guardiola‘s men on the day, with the after-party a well-deserved celebration for those who played on the day.

While Rasmus Højlund and Scott McTominay seemed to lead the team’s celebrations, popular American YouTuber IShowSpeed was also at the centre of the celebrations after Garnacho invited the 19-year-old to the Marriott Hotel in Mayfair, where the party took place.
Although many found it entertaining and rather wholesome that Speed, who is a United fan, was able to enjoy the celebrations with the players, the Daily Mail reported that large numbers of club staff were not as fond.
It has been said that staff at United were “angered and frustrated” at Speed’s appearance at the post-trophy event, but they were not able to celebrate because the club had not invited them.
Further, it is said that it is “unclear” how he got hold of a ticket for the Wembley game as they were balloted and sold exclusively to season-ticket holders, of which he is not one.
This reaction is just unnecessary. Speed was an invitee of Garnacho as the two have become friends across the last year, and he was not the only one. Plenty of players invited others they knew to the event, although most chose to bring their significant others, which is perfectly allowed.
Beyond this, Speed is also a fantastic commercial asset to the club. He openly wears club merchandise, which helps promote its products, while his friendships with the players help boost their global identities, considering Speed’s 20 million followers online.
Although it is understandable that they may feel aggrieved at the fact he was there while they were not, he was a guest. Speed’s online presence also helped United fans worldwide feel closer to the celebrations of the players at a time when unity is needed at the club.
