Manchester United confirm Rúben Amorim XI vs Rangers as Toby Collyer starts (Europa League)
Manchester United have confirmed that Rúben Amorim has chosen to start Toby Collyer as Rangers visit Old Trafford in the Europa League on Thursday evening.
Manchester United return to Europa League action on Thursday night as they welcome Rangers to Old Trafford.
The start of 2025 has seen Rúben Amorim’s side endure a mixed run of form. A spirited draw against Liverpool and an impressive victory over Arsenal suggested promising progress, but an uninspiring win against Southampton – despite Amad’s stunning hat-trick – and a 3-1 defeat to Brighton have left fans feeling uneasy.
Thursday’s clash with Rangers offers United the perfect chance to respond and win back the support of the Old Trafford faithful. As favourites, they’ll be determined to deliver a convincing performance and put recent frustrations behind them.
Currently sitting seventh in the Europa League standings – inside the automatic qualification spots for the knockout stages – a win would strengthen their grip on a top-eight position and provide a much-needed confidence boost.
The XIs have been confirmed below, with Amorim starting Toby Collyer for the first time as part of the midfield.
