Manchester United fans all agree on ‘pathetic’ issue that Ruben Amorim must fix
Manchester United fans are all in agreement about one ‘pathetic’ issue that Ruben Amorim must fix at Old Trafford.
Manchester United suffered a 3-2 defeat against Nottingham Forest in their Premier League clash at Old Trafford on Saturday evening.
The home side fell behind early when Nikola Milenkovic rose highest to head home from a corner, leaving André Onana helpless.

Despite the setback, Amorim’s team maintained composure and dominated much of the first half until Rasmus Højlund struck an equaliser just before the 20-minute mark.
However, United’s defensive frailties resurfaced after the break, conceding early in the second half and then falling 3-1 behind due to a series of defensive lapses.
It was a familiar sight for supporters and one that Amorim is quickly finding out about. After conceding the second goal, United’s players fell apart and the third was no surprise.
The plan from the manager was then difficult to see as the players looked stressed on the pitch. The mental fragility was evident under Erik ten Hag too.
While the new head coach can focus on improving phases of play and the structure on the pitch, he absolutely also has to fix the mental problems in the squad when setbacks come around.
“Mentally this group is pathetic. Their body language, their reaction to decisions, how they manage games, how they lose all direction once the game gets erratic—it’s a joke,” well-known United analyst htomufc wrote on X.
“There’s a mental problem throughout the squad and it feeds directly into newer players. Big clear out.”
United fans are in full agreement that this is something that must improve at Old Trafford.
“100%. He spoke of having to instil “belief” in the players in some of the interviews he has done already. Big job to turn that around also,” one account responded.
Another fan added: “Too many nice guys. Too many scared guys. I look around the pitch and can’t even see one player who will have the nerve of properly shouting at another player.”
Amorim is well aware of the job he has come into and warned fans that things would not be comfortable for long after winning 4-0 against Everton.
He looks suited to fix these problems and we will be able to make more assessments on his work later in the season.
