Manchester United loanee blasted for acting “like a little boy” amid claim that club will “get rid” of him
Jadon Sancho has been ripped into for acting “like a little boy” as a claim is made that Chelsea will want to get rid of the winger as soon as possible.
Jadon Sancho signed on loan with Chelsea for the entire 2024/25 campaign and is set to join the Premier League club from Manchester United permanently for £25 million in the summer.
After an underwhelming first few seasons at the club after a £75 million transfer to Old Trafford in 2021, Sancho fell out with then-manager Erik ten Hag in late 2023 and eventually left on loan to Borussia Dortmund for the remainder of the 2023/24 campaign.
Despite returning to United training over the 2024 pre-season, he played no minutes during the opening games of the club’s 2024/25 campaign and sealed his deadline day loan switch to Chelsea.
He has since played 22 times for the club, scoring twice and providing six assists, although he has been criticised for his recent run of form, having just one goal contribution in his last 12 fixtures.
Sancho ripped into for “weak little boy” behaviour
Recently, Sancho caused abosliute uproar among United fans when he suggested through an instagram post that Marcus Rahsford was finally “free” from the club after heading on loan to Aston Villa.
This has not gone down well with the club’s fans considering the amount of faith United showed Sancho during his period at Old Trafford, including time off from football after family grievances and paying for football rehabilitation programmes after the player suffered from reported mental struggles.
Former United defender Paul Parker has had his say on the comment, explaining that Sancho is being “weak” by trying to air his grievances with United vicariously through Rashford.
“Jadon Sancho reminds me of a weak little boy who is using someone else to air his grievances. He doesn’t have the strength, power, or presence to do it on his own, so he’s trying to drag Rashford into his mess,” Parker told mybettingsites.
“I hope Rashford is smart enough to stay out of it. Even his PR team should know better than to let him get involved in this nonsense.
“Sancho is trying to shift focus away from himself, but in reality, he should be looking in the mirror.”
Chelsea “will be looking to get rid” of Sancho
Continuing, Parker said he thinks that despite Chelsea’s £25 million buy agreement with United, the London club will be looking to ditch Sancho as soon as they can, and that Rashford must distance himself from the winger.
“Chelsea will be looking to get rid of him as soon as possible. Finding a club willing to take him will be a challenge.
“He’s brought this upon himself. I hope Rashford realises that Sancho is trying to drag him into unnecessary problems and tells him to stop.
“Sancho is absolutely weak. He needs to take a long, hard look at himself. At first, I thought he had personal issues with his managers. But they all had the same opinion of him—they didn’t play him. Now, he’s trying to make the club the villain instead.”
A new report has recently claimed that sources close to Rashford have indicated he does not appreciate being dragged into Sancho’s tensions with United following the Chelsea player’s comment on Instagram.
The 27-year-old is said to be keen to stay on good terms with both the club and United supporters.
