A decision has been made by Manchester United regarding one of their teenage starlets. Fabrizio Romano revealed that the Reds rejected a transfer approach for the youngster.
Manchester United’s summer hasn’t only been for bolstering their front three, but also for deciding on what to do regarding their up-and-coming talents.
Due to a difficult injury crisis, as well as a lack of squad depth, Ruben Amorim was forced to turn to his academy products in both their Premier League and Europa League campaigns last season.
Some of Amorim’s young Reds have been sent on loan for the upcoming 2025/26 campaign, whilst a few have been kept in and around the first-team picture.
One of the teenage starlets whose future has been unknown until now is 18-year-old striker Gabriele Biancheri. An update has now been provided on the Welshman’s situation.
Biancheri available on loan
According to a post on X by transfer insider Pete O’Rourke, United striker Biancheri is available on loan before the transfer window closes.
The 2006-born forward is being sought after by a number of League One and League Two clubs, but there haven’t been any concrete advancements as of yet.
Graeme Bailey has also reported, via United in Focus, that Biancheri has ‘a dozen options’ this summer, and his former side, Cardiff City, are interested in re-signing him on a loan.
This report also states that League Two side, Newport County, are keen on the youngster, whilst Bristol Rovers are also named as being ‘one to watch’ in this saga.
Romano reports Como rejection
In February, Fabrizio Romano reported on X that United had turned down an approach from Italian side Como for their young, talented 18-year-old forward.
This is interesting as it displays a clear intent by United to develop their attacking starlet through a loan move, as opposed to just cashing in on him with a permanent sale.

It is no surprise that this is the decision made by the Red Devils, as Biancheri scored 25 goals last season across the U18 and U21 levels, proving himself as a top attacking prospect.
