Manchester United confirm Ruud van Nistelrooy XI vs Leicester City as Joshua Zirkzee starts
Manchester United have confirmed Ruud van Nistelrooy’s first XI as he takes over from Erik ten Hag as interim manager against Leicester City.
Manchester United are gearing up for their Carabao Cup fourth-round tie against Leicester City, following the departure of Erik ten Hag as manager.
In the interim, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Ten Hag’s assistant and a former United striker, will step in to lead the squad as the club looks to finalise Rúben Amorim as the squad’s new head coach.

Van Nistelrooy will take charge of the team for the Leicester match, though the duration of his temporary role is yet to be determined as the club look to appoint Amorim as soon as possible.
United reached this stage with a stunning 7-0 win in the previous round, marking the Carabao Cup as the first trophy Ten Hag brought to the club in 2023.
