The Premier League have confirmed the match referees as Manchester United travel to face Ipswich Town in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Rúben Amorim is set to take charge of Manchester United for the first time as head coach when his side face Ipswich Town away in the Premier League.

The match, scheduled for Sunday afternoon, gives the squad much-needed recovery time. Thirteen players featured in international fixtures during the break, while others used the time to recover from injuries.

United currently sit 13th in the Premier League table, but the mood has shifted positively under Ruud van Nistelrooy, who brought stability after a difficult period under Erik ten Hag. Optimism is growing among fans and players as they look to build momentum.

Despite their position, United are just four points behind Nottingham Forest, who are 14th and occupy a Champions League qualification spot—a key target for the season.

The Premier League has now confirmed the match officials for the game.

Confirmed officials

Anthony Taylor (pictured below) will be the referee on Sunday afternoon in Ipswich. Taylor has officiated ten Premier League matches this season, three in UEFA club competitions and one in the Nations League.

Taylor has met United once this season, officiating the drab 3-0 loss against Liverpool at Old Trafford in September.

So far, Taylor has issued 43 yellow cards in the Premier League this season and one straight red card. He has also so far awarded three penalties in the competition.

Gary Beswick and Adam Nunn will be on the sidelines as Taylor’s assistant referees during the game. Matt Donohue will separate Amorim and Kieran McKenna as the fourth official on Sunday afternoon.

Jarred Gillett has been appointed as the Video Assistant Referee, as he was in the last United game against Leicester City. Neil Davies will act as assistant VAR.
