Manchester United injury news as Rúben Amorim issues full squad update vs Ipswich (Premier League)
Rúben Amorim has issued a full squad injury update as Manchester United prepare to face Ipswich Town in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.
Rúben Amorim’s Manchester United are still searching for their first Premier League win of the month and will aim to end that run when they face Ipswich Town at Old Trafford on Wednesday evening.
Their last league outing ended in a 2-2 draw at Everton, with second-half goals from Bruno Fernandes and Manuel Ugarte salvaging a point after another sluggish start.
United have struggled to impose themselves early in games, often finding themselves needing to fight back from losing positions.
With just two clean sheets across all competitions this season, defensive concerns remain. However, against an Ipswich side battling relegation, Amorim will hope for a more dominant performance and a long-awaited victory.
Amorim’s latest injury news
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Amorim have a succinct but informative update on the availability of his players for the injury tie.
“No, I think it’s the same,” he confirmed when asked if any injured players would be able to make a return. “They are improving but nobody is recovering for this game.”
However, there still remains a question mark over Noussair Mazraoui. The defender was taken off against Everton after 70 minutes, with reports suggesting he had suffered a knee injury and was due to undergo tests on Monday, but no update has been issued since.
It’s likely fans will not learn if Mazraoui has suffered a significant issue until the United squad arrive at Old Trafford on Wednesday afternoon.
Meanwhile, Amorim’s words confirm that Jonny Evans, Lisandro Martínez, Luke Shaw, Toby Collyer, Kobbie Mainoo, Mason Mount and Amad all remain out of action, although some of these players are not expected to return soon.
Amad and Martínez are ruled out until next season, while Mainoo, Mount and Collyer are not expected back until next month. Jonny Evans has not been involved in United’s last ten games, while there is no significant news on Shaw since he had to withdraw from training a few weeks ago.
Altay Bayındır and Tom Heaton have also missed United’s last few fixtures, although the former has been working hard on his return in recent weeks.
Ipswich’s injury latest
Centre-back Axel Tuanzebe returns from suspension to face his childhood club, while manager Kieran McKenna—former United first-team coach—is waiting on fitness updates for midfield duo Kalvin Phillips and Jens Cajuste.

Both players sustained knocks in the 4-1 home defeat to Tottenham Hotspur and are currently being assessed, with captain Sam Morsy on standby to step in.
McKenna also has a decision to make between Jaden Philogene and Jack Clarke, as winter signing Julio Enciso remains sidelined with a knee injury.
Wes Burns and Chiedozie Ogbene are confirmed absentees, but Conor Chaplin is expected to be available.
