Manchester United’s latest injury news as Rúben Amorim prepares his men to face Arsenal in the Premier League in London on Wednesday evening.

Rúben Amorim’s Manchester United face a challenging trip to the Emirates to take on Arsenal, following their dominant 4-0 win over Everton last weekend.

Amorim has quickly made his mark at Old Trafford, leading United to two wins and a draw in his first three games. His arrival has brought fresh optimism to a team that endured a dismal start to the season under Erik ten Hag.

Their opponents, Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, are also riding high after a 5-2 demolition of West Ham, setting up a tantalizing clash in North London.

United currently sit 9th in the Premier League, but with only four points separating them from Brighton in 4th, the race for Champions League qualification remains wide open.

Team news latest

Rúben Amorim will be without as many as six players as he prepares his United squad to face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

Following yellow cards against Everton, both Kobbie Mainoo and Lisandro Martínez will be suspended for the game due to their respective accumulation of five yellows each.

Meanwhile, Amorim is expected to be without either Jonny Evans or Victor Lindelöf, or Luke Shaw. The former has not been spotted in training since last Wednesday, while Lindelöf suffered an injury with Sweden last month.

Reports from Tuesday evening also claim that Shaw is not available due to injury and has therefore not travelled to London.

Academy midfielder Toby Collyer is also out of action, although he is currently undergoing fitness rehabilitation following an injury in October.

Positive news

However, Amorim is expected to welcome back Leny Yoro to the first team squad after he suffered a foot injury in pre-season that has prevented him from from making his competitive debut for the club.

“We have one more training session to see it, maybe Leny Yoro is going to be in the squad,” he told reporters on Monday evening. “I felt he’s in a good moment now.

“His fitness is better, so I think he is going to be in the squad. The rest I have to see it, because some players were tired so we have to assess tomorrow in training.”

Bruno Fernandes was spotted with an ice pack after he was substitued on the weekend, but Amorim also confirmed that the club captain is fit to play.

United also saw centre-back Harry Maguire return to action for the first time in eight weeks as he played 34 minutes against Everton. With Martínez, Lindelöf, Evans, and Shaw all out while Yoro’s status is unclear, he may be thrown straight into the starting XI.
