Mount, Collyer, Mazraoui – Manchester United injury updates and return dates vs Ipswich
Manchester United have several injuries to contend with as Rúben Amorim prepares his squad to face Ipswich Town in the Premier League in the coming days.
Rúben Amorim’s Manchester United squad have not won a Premier League fixture this month but are looking to end this streak when they welcome Ipswich Town to Old Trafford on Wednesday evening.
United’s last game in the competition came in the form of a 2-2 draw away from home at Everton, after second-half goals from Bruno Fernandes and Manuel Ugarte rescued a point for Amorim.
However, many have been critical of the fact United have failed to start games fast and with intensity, often having to react and claw results back after going a goal or two behind.
The side have kept just two clean sheets across all competitions this season, but with Ipswich struggling in the relegation zone, Amorim will hope his side can shut Kieran McKenna’s side out.
United’s latest injury news
The Everton game saw United welcome three players back into the fold as Leny Yoro, Christian Eriksen, and Ugarte returned to the first team after missing the tie against Tottenham two weekends ago.
However, United were still short of nine first-team players during the trip to Merseyside, with Academy players Sekou Kone, Chido Obi, Hubert Graczyk, and Elyh Harrison all on the bench alongside 18-year-old Ayden Heaven.
The latter two Academy players were included as reserve goalkeepers as Altay Bayındır and Tom Heaton remain out of action, although the former posted a video of him in individual training earlier this week and is presumed to return soon.
According to ESPN, United are also sweating over a potential knee injury to Noussair Mazraoui sustained against Everton. He is expected to undergo tests in the coming days to see if he will be available to face Newcastle.

Kobbie Mainoo is set to be out until at least the end of March after suffering from a calf injury in training two weeks ago, while Amad is out for the rest of the season after his ankle was caught in the turf during training and he damaged his ligament.
Mason Mount is expected to return some time in March although an exact date has not yet been given, while there is no length of time put on for Luke Shaw’s return.
Lisandro Martínez hurt his ACL earlier this month and is not expected to return until next season, while Amorim explained he hopes to have Toby Collyer back in his squad early next month.
Jonny Evans has been struggling with an unspecified muscular problem and has missed United’s last ten fixtures across all competitions, with little known about his potential return date.
