Manchester United receive big injury boost with star returning for pre-season
Manchester United have received a big injury boost, with another star set to return for pre-season training next month.
Luke Shaw has been injured since 18 February, when he was taken off at half-time during a 2-1 win away against Luton Town.
Shaw is an integral part of Erik ten Hag‘s first XI when fit, but he failed to keep himself available during Manchester United‘s 2023/24 campaign, missing six months’ worth of games.

He is currently at the 2024 European Championships in Germany with England but is yet to play a minute as he is still recovering from his injury towards the beginning of the year.
However, United have now received a fresh update on their player as England confirmed on Monday morning that all 26 of their squad, including Luke Shaw, were in full team training.
Meanwhile, Scotland’s loss against Hungary on Sunday evening has meant that Scott McTominay will now be available for the club’s pre-season tour of the United States of America.
All those currently away on international duty at either the European Championships or Copa America are not expected to take part in United’s tour should they advance deep into the competitions.
However, Scotland’s 1-0 defeat has knocked them out of the group stage, and McTominay will now be granted three weeks’ holiday before returning to the club. United is set to fly to the USA on 24 July.
