Manchester United confirm Rúben Amorim XI vs Fulham as Christian Eriksen starts (FA Cup)
Rúben Amorim has chosen to select Christian Eriksen as Manchester United line up to face Aston Villa in the FA Cup fifth round on a Sunday afternoon in Manchester United.
Manchester United return to FA Cup action on Sunday as they host Fulham at Old Trafford in the fifth round.
Their cup journey so far has seen them edge past Arsenal in a tense penalty shootout following a 1-1 draw at the Emirates, before a stoppage-time goal from Harry Maguire secured a 2-1 victory over Leicester City.
Rúben Amorim’s side head into this fixture fresh from a 3-2 Premier League win over Ipswich Town, though another unconvincing defensive display has kept concerns alive.
With United sitting 14th in the league, winning the FA Cup looks like their best chance of securing Europa League qualification—unless they can mount a deep European run and claim a Champions League place.
The XIs have been confirmed below, with Amorim starting Christian Eriksen as part of the front three, with Bruno Fernandes playing a deeper role alongside Manuel Ugarte.
Manchester United’s line-up
Starting XI: Onana, De Ligt, Maguire, Yoro, Mazraoui, Ugarte, Fernandes, Dalot, Zirkzee, Højlund, Eriksen.
Subs: Garczyk, Murdock, Heaven, Lindelöf, Casemiro, Garnacho, Obi.
