Manchester United predicted XI vs Fulham as Rúben Amorim makes six changes (Premier League)
Rúben Amorim is predicted to make six changes as Manchester United take on Fulham in the Premier League on Sunday evening.
Manchester United are set to resume their Premier League campaign this weekend as they travel to Craven Cottage to face Fulham, with both clubs struggling for consistency.
Rúben Amorim’s side enter the match on the back of a dramatic late win over Rangers, courtesy of a stunning strike from captain Bruno Fernandes. While the European victory provided a morale boost, their domestic woes remain unresolved.
A humbling 3-1 defeat to Brighton in their last league outing has left United sitting 13th in the table—10 points clear of the drop zone but a distant 14 points away from the top four.
Having won two of their last three home games, United will hope to build on the momentum from their midweek success. With three points crucial to reigniting their season, the trip to Fulham presents an opportunity they cannot afford to squander.
Amorim predicted to make six changes
United’s fixture against Rangers saw multiple players given rare opportunities, with Altay Bayındır and Toby Collyer handed starts, although both players are expected to be put back on the bench this weekend.
André Onana is likely to return to the first team after Amorim confirmed Bayındır starting in goal was simply due to rotation, while Leny Yoro has started three games in a row in defence but may be replaced by Maguire.
Matthijs de Ligt is another player who was withdrawn early against Rangers, but he has travelled with the squad to London and may start on the right of the back three, with Maguire in the middle and Lisandro Martínez on the left.
Noussair Mazraoui missed out in midweek after Amorim chose to leave him at home after a knock despite being in training. However, he was another player spotted with the team travelling south on Saturday and could be reinstated at right wing-back.
Diogo Dalot is expected to continue his role on the left amid United’s pursuit of Patrick Dorgu, while Kobbie Mainoo and Manuel Ugarte will likely be reinstated in midfield after being rested in midweek, with Collyer and Christian Eriksen dropping to the bench.
Bruno Fernandes started in a deeper role in the Europa League but may resume his role as the left-attacking midfielder, while Amad is likely to be moved back to the right attacking side after playing at wing-back.
Joshua Zirkzee has failed to impress massively in his last two starts, and with Amorim also keen to keep his options fresh and rotated when needed, Ramus Højlund may be reinstated in the front line despite not scoring in his last 10 appearances.
United predicted XI vs Fulham
Onana, De Ligt, Maguire, Martínez, Mazraoui, Ugarte, Mainoo, Dalot, Amad, Fernandes, Højlund.
