Nottingham Forest, in contrast, have made a strong start to their campaign, holding seventh place.
A victory for United on Saturday would see them move level with Forest in the table, setting the stage for a fascinating showdown.
Six changes expected
With United’s game against Forest coming just three days after their trip to Arsenal, Amorim is expected to continue his policy of rotation as they face Forest.
While André Onana is set to remain in goal, Matthijs de Ligt is due to step away from the starting team to accommodate Lisandro Martínez, who is available following a one-game ban.
Due to lack of other options, Noussair Mazroaui is likely to play on teh right of the back three with Harry Maguire in the middle, as De Ligt may need a rest following his recent starts. Martínez would line up on the left.
Amad Diallo is touted to start at right wing-back, while Diogo Dalot may play on the left after Luke Shaw’s injury, with Tyrell Malacia’s minutes continuing to be monitored following his return to action last month.
In midfield, Kobbie Mainoo and Casemiro will likely return to action, as both players did not play in London.
Although Bruno Fernandes started as a deeper midfielder against Arsenal, it’s likely that he will return to an attacking position against Forest, with Mason Mount and Alejandro Garnacho both dropping to the bench.
Amorim may choose to start Marcus Rashford as the left attacking midfielder and Fernandes on the right, with Joshua Zirkzee resuming up front – the same front three that enabled United to put four past Everton last weekend.
Man United expected XI
Onana, Mazraoui, De Ligt, Martínez, Amad, Mainoo, Casemiro, Dalot, Fernandes, Rashford, Zirkzee.
