Manchester United predicted squad vs Everton following Chido Obi hint (Premier League)
Rúben Amorim is predicted to select Chido Obi in his Manchester United squad later this week amid a hint about the 17-year-old’s potential involvement.
Manchester United will be aiming to put their recent struggles behind them when they face Everton in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
Rúben Amorim’s side suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat away to Tottenham Hotspur last time out, a result that saw them drop to 15th in the table.
With pressure continuing to mount, Everton were on the receiving end of Amorim’s biggest win so far, as Joshua Zirkzee and Marcus Rashford each scored twice in a commanding 4-0 victory back in November.
However, since then, former United manager David Moyes has taken charge at Goodison Park, overseeing an improvement in form that has lifted Everton to 14th place—one point ahead of United after 25 games.
Obi selection squad hint delivered
United’s U18s defeated Wolves on Tuesday evening, where 16-year-old Louis Bradbury scored on his first start for the Academy’s team, while some feel Chido Obi’s lack of involvement in the fixture could point to an involvement against Everton.
With United lacking in attacking options and the poor form goalscoring of Rasmus Højlund, Alejandro Garnacho, and Joshua Zirkzee, Obi’s inclusion is not a far-fetched idea.
Meanwhile, Amorim may have as many as five players returning, although it remains to be seen if Manuel Ugarte and Toby Collyer are fit to return, although reports from last week indicated that the duo’s problems were not too serious.
Leny Yoro and Christian Eriksen missed the Spurs loss due to illness, although both are hopefully fine to be involved once again. With Kobbie Mainoo set to remain out of action, Sekou Kone could also get the nod alongside Obi on the bench.
There were no injuries during the trip to North London last weekend, meaning the 11 first-team players who started the game and Victor Lindelöf are also all expected to be included again.
