However, the team showed promise over the weekend in the Premier League, mounting a strong second-half comeback to defeat Brentford at Old Trafford.
This fixture against Fenerbahce adds extra intrigue as it reunites United with former manager Jose Mourinho, who is now in charge of the Turkish outfit. Additionally, familiar faces Fred and Sofyan Amrabat, both of whom played under Ten Hag, will be lining up against their former team.
United have confirmed that Ten Hag has chosen to start Manuel Ugarte, as the two XIs are confirmed – there have been rumours that although Noussair Mazraoui starts, it will be in the No. 10 position rather than at right-back.
