Manchester United predicted XI vs Crystal Palace, Rasmus Højlund dropped as six changes made
Rúben Amorim is predicted to make six changes as Manchester United line up to face Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
Manchester United return to Premier League action on Sunday afternoon as they host Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.
Rúben Amorim’s side have won five of their seven matches in 2025, including three consecutive victories, and come into this fixture off the back of a 2-0 win away to FCSB, with Diogo Dalot and Kobbie Mainoo finding the net.
United currently sit 12th in the table ahead of game week 24, two points clear of Palace, and Amorim will be eager to build on his team’s recent momentum.
Old Trafford has been a challenging venue for United in recent months, with several key league defeats at home. However, with an upturn in form this year, they will look to turn things around and pick up another three points on Sunday.
Amorim predicted to make six changes
With United having progressed to the Europa League knockout stages, Amorim is expected to make a host of changes as they return their focus to the Premier League.
Despite another positive performance from Altay Bayındır, André Onana is expected to return to action in goal, with Noussair Mazraoui and Lisandro Martínez starting as the right and left centre-backs, continuing on after good performances against FCSB.
However, Matthijs de Ligt’s minutes have been managed by Amorim of late and after playing 90 minutes in midweek, the head coach may choose to replace the Dutchman with Harry Maguire, who was rested for the tie.
Toby Collyer started in midfield against FCSB, but he is expected to make way for Manuel Ugarte as the Uruguayan comes back into the fold, likely to be matched alongside Bruno Fernandes.
Although United are set to confirm the transfer of Patrick Dorgu in the coming days, he will not be available in time to face Crystal Palace, meaning Diogo Dalot could shift back to left wing-back with Amad continuing on the right, meaning Tyrell Malacia may be dropped amid rumours of a loan move to Benfica.

Although Amad’s best position is the right attacking midfield spot, Mainoo was brilliant when playing there in the second half against FCSB, and with a goal and assist in the fixture, Amorim may choose to continue him in the position against Palace.
As for the left-hand side, Alejandro Garnacho was fantastic when he came on for the second half as a left attacking midfielder and may well start in the position as Christian Eriksen drops back to the bench.
Rasmus Højlund was not effective once again in midweek despite his good Europa League record, and after playing 80 minutes, he may be replaced with Joshua Zirkzee up front.
United predicted XI vs Crystal Palace
Onana, Mazraoui, Maguire, Martínez, Amad, Ugarte, Fernandes, Dalot, Mainoo, Garnacho, Zirkzee.
