Star accepts mega 3-year Manchester United contract, becomes one of the club’s top earners

Manchester United star captain Bruno Fernandes has reportedly accepted a mega three-year contract to remain at Old Trafford.
Bruno Fernandes has arguably been Manchester United’s most impactful signing since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement. Acquired by Ole Gunnar Solskjær in January 2020, the Portuguese midfielder quickly established himself as a key player and has since taken on the role of club captain.
In his four-and-a-half seasons at Old Trafford, Fernandes has made 234 appearances, scoring 79 goals and providing 66 assists. Under Erik ten Hag, he has also secured two trophies.

Now 29 years old and in the prime of his career, Fernandes continues to attract significant interest from top clubs, with Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and the Saudi Pro League all rumoured to be keen on his services.
However, a fresh report from Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Fernandes and United have reached an agreement. The United star will sign a new contract that keeps him at the club until 2027.
Further, Romano explained that the deal will also see United retain the option to extend his stay until 2028 if they wish to and that the Portuguese international will now be at the “top-level” of United’s earners.
Although a specific salary is not named, this level could be in excess of £300,000 a week, with the player’s current deal having him at £240,000 a week.
Romano reveals that the new deal is all set to be signed before the end of the month. Fernandes recently returned to the club following his extended holiday, where he played 90 minutes against Manchester City in the Community Shield.
Despite his lack of pre-season, Fernandes is on track to start in the Premier League opener against Fulham at Old Trafford on Friday evening.
