Andy Cole has slammed Manchester United following their 1-1 draw against Brentford on Saturday evening in the Premier League.

After the March international hiatus, the Premier League resumed with Manchester United taking on Brentford in an away fixture, marking the beginning of their final ten matches of the season.

However, the game turned out to be a disappointing affair for United, as Brentford outclassed them in all areas. Despite Mason Mount giving United a late lead, Kristoffer Ajer equalized in the 90+9th minute, leaving the match in a 1-1 draw.

Manchester United legend Andy Cole, speaking to Premier League Productions after the fixture, has explained that although United players will be thinking about the point they shared with Brentford, they do not deserve it.

Asked what Man United will have taken from the game, Cole’s reply was simple: “A point. And it’s that simple.

“I think Manchester United can go away thinking, right, we’ve got a point. Really, did we deserve a point? No. We’ve got play off the park. Didn’t create many chances, if any chances.

“They got a late goal, and then if Man United end up winning the game, that’s papers over the cracks of the inconsistency they’ve had this season. I thought it was really, really poor to them. Brentford should have won the game comfortably in the end.”

Manchester United will next face Chelsea on Thursday night in the competition before welcoming Liverpool to Old Trafford as they hunt for Champions League spots.

If they produce a similar performance to the one against Brentford against these aforementioned opposition, they could be in big, big trouble.
