Manchester United stars told to learn from “phenomenal” Old Trafford man who’s ‘one of the Premier League’s best’
Manchester United players have been told they must look to learn from André Onana, who has been one of the Premier League’s best players this season.
André Onana‘s revitalisation at Manchester United has been one of the few positives for fans so far this campaign.
The Old Trafford outfit currently sit 12th in the Premier League table and well out of the Europa League automatic qualification spots, with United having to sack former manager Erik ten Hag due to dismal displays across both competitions.

Rúben Amorim has taken over as the side’s head coach, with Onana playing a big role in his new system as the 39-year-old looks to create a style of dominance at the club.
Onana has been one of the few bright sparks in a dull side this season and leads the Premier League Golden Glove race with five clean sheets. After a poor start to his career at the club, he has turned it around and become a steadfast star in goal.
A “phenomenal” player
Speaking to TG Casino, former Manchester United winger Lee Sharpe feels that Onene has been one of the standout players in the Premier League this season.
“André Onana’s been phenomenal this season and probably the standout goalkeeper in the Premier League so far,” Sharpe told TG Casino.
“He had a really poor season last year and made some very amateurish mistakes – some of those errors were literally schoolboy mistakes – so for him to come back is really good to see.”
Further, Sharpe, who played under Sir Alex Ferguson between 1988 and 1996, explained that the current crop of players should learn a lot from Onana’s mental strength.
“He says he likes the responsibility as a goalkeeper and he’s come on leaps and bounds in a few months. I think a lot of players can learn from the mental strength that he has because he looks a completely different player to what he was last season.”
