Man United urged to sign Premier League star who credits Erik ten Hag as key to success
Manchester United have been urged to sign one Premier League star who has previously credited Erik ten Hag as a key to his success.
The Reds are expected to be busy in terms of signings this summer and one position they seem to want to strengthen is at right wing.
Antony has underperformed since his arrival at Old Trafford, while Jadon Sancho is expected to depart the club in the coming months.
Michael Olise has been named as the primary option but he could also be on the way to Chelsea. Former United striker Louis Saha believes that Mohammed Kudus would be a great option for the Reds.
“I think he’s shown that he’s one of the top players, and he has unbelievable potential,” he told BetFred.
“I think he’s surprised everyone during his time at West Ham with how quickly he’s been able to showcase his quality, and he’s definitely one of their main men, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he signed for a bigger club this summer.
“If Manchester United can sign a player like him, he’s the type of footballer that has that high level of confidence and consistency that’s very impressive.
“He’s a very flexible footballer who has provided goals and assists in not a particularly strong setup at West Ham, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he ended up at Manchester United. He’s a strong, quality player.”
Kudus joined West Ham last summer in a deal worth around £38 million and had an excellent debut campaign in the Premier League, scoring eight goals and registering six assists.
The winger was previously at Ajax, where he emerged into the team under Erik ten Hag before his eventual move to Old Trafford.
Kudus, speaking to Algemeen Dagblad last year, credited the United boss for his part in his development as a player.
“Because the club is known for developing talent. I talked about that with trainer Erik ten Hag,” the 23-year-old explained.
“In his style of play, creative and attacking, I saw myself. It was exactly in line with my personal qualities and how I wanted to develop.”
