Manchester United insiders believe that one £35,000-a-week star will leave the club in 2025 as he is ‘simply too good’ for his current role at Old Trafford.

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has overseen three matches since taking charge, recording two wins and one draw.

His next challenge is a Premier League clash with Arsenal, but his immediate focus remains on gaining a deeper understanding of his squad in the days ahead.

The 39-year-old has already gleaned valuable insights about his players and will aim to refine his assessments as he plans for the upcoming season.

Amorim is expected to make squad adjustments, with new signings likely and potential departures for those who do not fit into his vision for the team.

Altay Bayındır likely to leave United

One departure could be out of Amorim’s hands, however, with Altay Bayindir’s future unlikely to be at Old Trafford.

A report from Sky Germany has explained that there is an expectation within the club that Bayındır could leave the club in one of the two transfer windows in 2025.

Insiders have claimed that the 26-year-old goalkeeper is ‘simply too good’ to be the back-up to André Onana. Bayındır has made just three appearances for the club since he joined in 2023.

Bayindir joined the Reds from Fenerbahçe for just over £4 million but he has rarely got a chance between the sticks at the English club.

The report added that United are very satisfied with the Turkish shot-stopper, whose £35,000-a-week contract runs until 2027.

But it seems unlikely that the club would be able to convince the player to remain at Old Trafford in any offers come in, and the report concludes that they could be looking for two goalkeepers in the coming windows.

Tom Heaton could either leave or retire once the campaign finishes, while Onana is the undisputed starter after starting the season extremely well.

The Cameroon international has kept six clean sheets in the Premier League so far this season, more than any other goalkeeper in the division.
