Man United confirm Erik ten Hag XI to face Liverpool (Premier League)

Manchester United have confirmed that Kobbie Mainoo will play instead of Bruno Fernandes against Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.

Bruno Fernandes is suspended for Manchester United‘s trip to Anfield, where they will face Premier League leaders Liverpool.

Erik ten Hag has opted to select Kobbie Mainoo in place of the Manchester United creative leader but has stressed that there are many players who can step up in his absence.

“We have all sorts who can do that,” he said when asked who could step up and replace Fernandes’ creative output. “And we have our ideas, as I say, how we can create chances.”

Fernandes is also the club captain, and in his absence, Ten Hag has selected Scott McTominay in his place.
