Man United academy starlet spotted in first-team training ahead of new contract this week

Manchester United starlet Shea Lacey has been spotted in Erik ten Hag’s first-team training at Carrington this week.
Lacey, 16, is one of the most highly-rated talents within the academy at United. He has not played for the Under-18s since October after suffering a leg injury.
However, the teenager recently returned to training and has now been working alongside Erik ten Hag’s first-team squad.
In a video posted by Sky Sports, Lacey can be seen alongside fellow academy players Jack Fletcher and Ethan Wheatley with the rest of the first-team squad.
Ten Hag has helped provide the platform for the likes of Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo to become first-team regulars, and Lacey is expected to be another young talent to push through at Old Trafford.
Lacey’s involvement in United training comes just days before he is expected to sign his first professional contract at the club.
According to a recent report from the MEN, Lacey will be signing the terms of his first professional deal on his 17th birthday on Sunday, 14 April.
Earlier this season, Lacey earned himself his first cap for England U17s and assisted twice during the game.
The 16-year-old will be hoping to keep getting opportunities to impress in first-team training with Ten Hag’s side.
