“Makes you think…” – Man Utd summer target admits he wants ‘dream’ reunion with Leny Yoro at Old Trafford

One of Manchester United’s summer targets has admitted to wanting a ‘dream’ move which could see him reunite with former teammate Leny Yoro.

With a busy summer in the works for Manchester United, plenty of incomings will make their way to Old Trafford ahead of the 2025/26 Premier League campaign.

After a weekend loss to West Ham, Ruben Amorim’s side have been left stranded in 16th position, with their season’s success resting in the hands of their Europa League final.

21 May will see United battle it out with 17th placed Tottenham Hotspur to earn a Champions League spot for next season, despite both of their poor domestic campaigns.

One of the key talking points surrounding United this season has been their shot stoppers, with it looking likely that a new goalkeeper could arrive in the coming months.

Chevalier speaks on ‘attractive’ Premier League move

With the futures of Altay Bayindir and Andre Onana both being in doubt, United have been linked with a move for 23-year-old Lucas Chevalier from Lille.

Foot Mercato state that the Frenchman has attracted interest from United and Paris Saint-Germain, although the latter have recently cooled their interest.

Quoted by SportWitness, Chevalier said: “The Premier League? It’s a league that makes you dream, the most attractive.

“When you see Tottenham, Manchester United struggling with crazy players, you can see the level a bit. I have a two-year contract, and you know the president [laughs]. I haven’t had any specific offers from this country, but it makes you think.”

Is Chevalier United-bound?

Given what the France U23 international had to say, it is obvious that he would be interested in a move to England, similarly to former teammate Leny Yoro.

With the second best defensive record in Ligue 1, one goal behind PSG, Chevalier has kept 11 clean sheets whilst his Lille side have only conceded 35 in 33.

As the race for a Champions League spot goes down to the wire in France, Lille look set to narrowly miss out, which could lead to their shot stopper seeking new pastures.

If Chevalier does get his dream reunion with Yoro, then the pair could help to make United’s defence far less penetrable, which will be a necessity if they are to reach the heights expected of them.
