One Manchester United star has received a message from one of his ex-teammates about him making an ‘incredible’ transfer this summer.
Manchester United are aiming to further strengthen their squad this summer following the arrivals of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, Diego Leon, and Benjamin Šeško.
However, to fund new signings, the Reds will need to offload players, with several out-of-favour names, including Antony, available for transfer.
The Brazilian winger endured a difficult spell at Old Trafford after joining in 2022, but rediscovered his form last season during a loan spell at Real Betis.
While it was expected the Spanish side would make the move permanent, they have yet to meet United’s valuation and are aiming for a loan deal.
United star receives message from ex-teammate about transfer
Antony made a positive impression during his time in La Liga and played many times alongside right-back, Ángel Ortiz.
He has been speaking to media about the prospect of the United winger returning to Betis and claimed that it would be an ‘incredible’ move.
“I think playing with Antony or someone of his level was incredible for me. I think he made things much easier, and in the end, I just had to give it to him and run up the field because he did the rest,” Ortiz said, as per Sport Witness.
“The truth is, playing with him again would be incredible. And I hope that during this transfer window, he can make it happen and continue bringing joy to the Betis fans, which will surely be incredible.”
Betis situation not changed
Antony’s transfer situation has gone under the radar in recent weeks and it seems like we’re in a very similar situation to last month.
Betis do not want to match United’s valuation and are only keen on securing Antony on loan, which simply isn’t good enough.

The player himself is desperate to play at the World Cup next year and that won’t happen if he ends up sitting on the bench at Old Trafford.
He needs to be told to hurry Betis up or to look elsewhere, because there are other suitors for Antony who will be able to put cash on the table.
