Luke Shaw reveals one thing Manchester United signings all have in common, Ruben Amorim deserves credit

Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has revealed one thing that all of the summer signings have in common, and suggested that Ruben Amorim deserves credit for it.

It was a busy summer transfer window for Manchester United, who spent just over £200 million on five new signings for Ruben Amorim’s squad.

Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Šeško have all been brought in as new additions for the attack, which underwhelmed last term.

Senne Lammens has joined as an exciting new goalkeeper while Diego Leon offers depth and potential on the left flank.

Some of the new signings have already started impressing in a United shirt, especially Mbeumo and Cunha in attack.

Shaw reveals one thing United signings all have in common

Cunha has been ruled out for the upcoming Manchester derby which is a shame after his bright start to life at Old Trafford.

The Brazilian hasn’t only been making an impression on the pitch but also at the training ground, with Luke Shaw claiming that he fits in perfectly with the squad.

“I love him, he’s such a good guy, he’s really happy and always joking about and he’s slotted in really perfectly honestly,” Shaw told Sky Sports when asked about Cunha.

The United defender has also praised how the other United signings have gelled with the squad and praised Amorim for finding players who are all ‘good lads’ but also have a winning mindset.

“But not just him, the others as well, and that’s a big credit to the manager and the staff around him,” continued Shaw.

“He’s not only brought in amazing players, he’s also brought in good lads that all have the same mindset of wanting to win.”

Mbeumo could be difference maker vs City

While Cunha will not be able to play against City, Mbeumo could be a key player for Amorim in this outing, especially on the transition.

Last season, United frustrated so much when attacking quickly because the front men were not making the right decisions.

Mbeumo has already showed that this is one of his best attributes, with the Cameroon international always aware of his surroundings and when it is best to shot, run with the ball or pass.

He found Amad with a square pass against Burnley but the Ivorian missed a simple chance. Still, those opportunities will come for United stars with Mbeumo in the team and they will start taking them.

City’s biggest weakness at the moment seems to be defending these kind of situations, and so Mbeumo could end up being the difference maker when United travel to the Etihad Stadium.
