INEOS have identified a fourth potential transfer option as Manchester United continue to prepare for the 2024 summer transfer window.

Manchester United are expected to have a big summer once the 2023/24 season has ended, with Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS keen to have a mass overhaul of Erik ten Hag‘s team this summer.

Ratcliffe has already explained that sales are key this summer, with the club reportedly looking to make over £100 million in sales this summer once they dump the likes of Jadon Sancho and Mason Greenwood, among others.

It was revealed recently that INEOS’ top three targets for United this summer are signing a new striker, a new centre-back, and a new right-back. However, the club are now looking at signing a left-back, too.

This is according to journalist Ben Jacobs (via The United Stand), who has explained that United are in the market for a “young” left-back once the window opens.

The club have struggled with their left-backs this season, with Tyrell Malacia yet to play and Luke Shaw suffering his second three-month injury this season – and many are starting to become frustrated with how often Shaw becomes unavailable.

Jacobs further explained to The United Stand that United are among those who have been scouting Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez, and are said to be “big fans” of the player.

Bringing in a new left-back could signal an eventual replacement for Shaw as the England international continues to struggle to remain fit and available at United. He has missed a total of 237 fixtures for club and country since he signed for the Old Trafford club in 2014, according to Trasnfermarkt.
