Liverpool manager Arne Slot has sent another bizarre dig towards Manchester United following their win against Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday evening.
Manchester United secured their first win against Liverpool at Anfield in almost 10 years on the weekend after Harry Maguire’s late winner.
For Ruben Amorim, the three points were crucial and it also meant that Arne Slot’s side lost four games in a row for the first time under his leadership.
United will be looking to build on the positive momentum built at Anfield in their next game against Brighton while Liverpool have already bounced back in the Champions League.
Slot’s side secured an impressive 5-1 victory away from home against Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday night but after the game, the Liverpool boss decided to send another dig United’s way.
Liverpool boss Slot sends another bizarre dig towards United
Last weekend, Slot complained before the clash because Amorim decided to bench Benjamin Šeško and after the defeat he was angered by United playing a low block and long balls.
When asked how Liverpool won against Frankfurt, the Dutchman decided to complain once again about the approach from opposition teams in recent weeks for Liverpool.
“The biggest exception for me was that today, compared to the other games we have played, was the playing style of our opponent,” he said.
“We got some energy out of the moments we could press them, which in the last four or five games we played we could not press the opponent because the ball wasn’t on the ground it was in the air.”
United’s approach vs Liverpool at Old Trafford is clear
No one can argue about Slot’s success in his debut campaign in Merseyside but it is interesting to see how some other managers deal with a little bit of pressure coming their way.
The media would not stop if Manchester United’s manager came out with some of the comments he has said in recent weeks.

Amorim has been under a different level of pressure at Old Trafford but not once has he blamed other teams for their selection decisions or the way they try to play.
When Liverpool come to Old Trafford later in the season, United will know exactly how they need to approach the game and Slot seems to be telling everyone else exactly how to approach games against them as well.
