Lisandro Martinez back in Man United training, hopes to play vs Wolves on New Year’s Day
Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez returned to Carrington on Wednesday as he hopes to be on the team sheet against Wolves on New Year’s Day.
Martinez, 24, has been celebrating Argentina’s World Cup glory but is ready for Premier League action at the Molineux on Saturday.
He missed out on United’s 3-0 win against Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford on Tuesday evening. Luke Shaw was used as a makeshift centre-back alongside Raphaël Varane, who appeared in the World Cup final for France.

The club have confirmed that Martinez is now back in training ahead of the away trip this weekend.
Simon Jones of the Daily Mail has reported that the Argentine defender is hoping to be in contention to play against Wolves.
He will have three training sessions under his belt before traveling with the squad. Varane started against Forest after just one session with the team.
The return of ‘The Butcher’ will please Erik ten Hag, who has had to deal with illness to both Victor Lindelöf and Harry Maguire.
Casemiro started in defence in last week’s Carabao Cup victory. Shaw impressed when playing centrally on Tuesday.
