Leny Yoro sends nine-word message ahead of Manchester Derby, Marcus Rashford and Chido Obi react

Leny Yoro started for the first time since coming back from injury in Manchester United’s 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest earlier this week.

Manchester United fell to defeat against Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night after ex-Red Anthony Elanga scored the only goal of the game.

The performance from Ruben Amorim’s side wasn’t too bad but once again they were toothless in the final third when searching for a goal.

Leny Yoro came back into the team for the first time since his injury against Arsenal last month and impressed in the wide centre-back role.

The Frenchman stopped Elanga in his tracks in the second half when he tried to repeat the counter-attacking run done for his goal. Yoro’s lunging slide tackle was timed to perfection.

Despite the negative result, United must have full focus on bouncing back against Manchester City at Old Trafford on the weekend.

Yoro sends nine-word Manchester Derby message

Yoro will be hoping to start the Manchester Derby for the first time after being among the substitutes for the 2-1 victory at the Etihad Stadium earlier this season.

He made a positive impact off the bench last time and is fully focused on the upcoming clash this weekend.

Following the defeat to Forest, the 19-year-old sent a clear nine-word message on Instagram, writing: “Heads up. All focus on the derby this Sunday.”

The post was liked by Marcus Rashford, whose currently on loan at Aston Villa, and Chido Obi, among others. Obi will be one player hoping to get his first taste of the Manchester Derby.

Yoro offers huge praise for Obi

Yoro has been speaking about Obi recently after the young striker emerged as a first-team option this season, with the Frenchman offering some huge praise.

The ex-Lille defender believes that his teammate can become “one of the world’s best strikers” should he continue on a positive development path.

“Chido is talented,” Yoro said of the 17-year-old, as quoted by TipsBladet. “He can become one of the world’s best strikers in my opinion, if he continues his development.

“He scores a lot of goals and is a good boy, so I also hope that he will become one of the best.”

While the youngster hasn’t had much time on the pitch, it is clear that he has been impressing behind-the-scenes at Carrington to earn such praise from his teammates.
