Leny Yoro sends eight-word message to Man Utd fans ahead of Grimsby clash, Bryan Mbeumo responds

Leny Yoro has been one of Manchester United’s most impressive players in the opening games of the new Premier League season.

Manchester United started the new Premier League season with a defeat against Arsenal but there were positives to take away from that game.

In the following clash with Fulham, the Reds earned a draw away from home but the consensus afterwards was much more negative after an underwhelming display.

One of the only consistent factors across both games was the performance of Leny Yoro, who was excellent on the right side of the defence.

The Frenchman might not have been awarded with the goal against Fulham but it was his determination in the air which made it happen. Only minutes earlier, he was stopping a clear-cut chance at the other end of the pitch.

Yoro sends eight-word message to United fans ahead of Grimsby

Yoro is likely to be rested for United’s clash against Grimsby Town on Wednesday evening in the Carabao Cup but he has sent a message to supporters ahead of that game.

He has reiterated that United are striving to give more after mixed displays in their opening two games of the season.

On Instagram, the 19-year-old wrote: “We want more, we’ll give more. Up United.”

Ayden Heaven replied to his defensive teammate with a love-heart emoji while the likes of Bryan Mbeumo and Bruno Fernandes liked the post.

Heaven could make his first start of the season against Grimsby this week after appearing off the bench during the draw with Fulham.

Yoro will be crucial to United success

Yoro has not had an easy time since arriving at Old Trafford last summer, with injuries and an underperforming team around him.

But the defender has been able to showcase his talent and ever since that underwhelming display against Southampton in January, he has probably been United’s most consistent player.

His defensive ability has improved while we are also seeing his on-ball work develop in real time. He looks much more comfortable bringing the ball out of the backline.

United will be looking to find consistency and results in the coming weeks and Yoro will be central to any success the Reds have this season.
