There is speculation around the future of Kobbie Mainoo at the moment but he has spoken about his excitement about one of his Manchester United teammates.
Manchester United have secured three major signings so far this summer in an attempt to improve the squad at Old Trafford.
Benjamin Šeško, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo have all improved the attacking unit under Ruben Amorim and will be hoping to score plenty of goals this season.
Meanwhile, there have been question marks over Kobbie Mainoo after he failed to play a single minute in United’s opening two Premier League fixtures of the season.
Despite reports suggesting that a move could occur before deadline day, it seems very unlikely that Mainoo actually ends up leaving the club this summer.
Mainoo reveals three key attributes of United teammate
Šeško’s signing was one that has excited many supporters and he is expected to make his first start against Grimsby Town in the Carabao Cup.
Mainoo is also going to make his first appearance of the season and the midfielder has already explained why he is excited to work alongside the new striker.
“When we were linked with him, I was excited.,” Mainoo told club media when asked about Šeško.
“Really athletic, powerful and really good at finishing. So yeah, it’s been good so far.”
United fans will certainly be hoping that the two of them can link up at Old Trafford for a long time.
Mainoo sale would be monumental mistake
Mainoo should get the opportunity to play alongside Šeško for plenty of games for many years. If that doesn’t end up being the case, then INEOS and Amorim will lose plenty of support.
Things have not been good enough under the new tenure so far but the sale of an Academy graduate who won the club the FA Cup final two years ago would cause outrage.

Alejandro Garnacho’s incoming departure pains many fans but there is an understanding that he has caused issues. Similar can be said for Marcus Rashford.
But there is simply no reason why Mainoo should be leaving the club and it would be a monumental mistake if it were to happen.
