After a fantastic few performances during Manchester United‘s pre-season has seen Kobbie Mainoo‘s stocks fly through the roof this summer and was right rewarded with a start against Real Madrid.

He was later spotted leaving the stadium on crutches and wearing a protective boot, much to the anguish of the player, staff, and fans across the world.
Kobbie Mainoo has himself offered an update on his condition on his Instagram page.
“I’ll be back stronger and in no time,” he said. “Thanks for your messages of support.”
Fans will no doubt be glad to hear that Mainoo thinks he will be back in “no time,” although the nature of the post suggests that he will not be available for the next few pre-season fixtures.
Despite early suggestions that Mainoo may go on loan next season, this has since been ruled out – Ten Hag wants to keep Mainoo in his squad for the coming season and sees him as a valuable asset in midfield.
