“Wow…” Jurgen Klopp highlights “incredible” moment from Man United star vs Liverpool
Jurgen Klopp has praised André Onana for a big save at the beginning of the game as Manchester United drew 2-2 with Liverpool at Old Trafford.
André Onana‘s story at Manchester United has followed a rags-to-riches script. The Cameroon goalkeeper started life off poorly under Erik ten Hag, making multiple errors in the Champions League.
However, his 2024 has been nothing short of fantastic for the most part, and he proved his worth once again in the early moments against Liverpool with a big save to deny Dominik Szoboszlai in the third minute of the game.

Although United conceded two, Onana very much kept the Reds in the game and played a big role in the eventual scoreline, with Jurgen Klopp recognising his big save.
“I think the Dom Szoboszlai chance was an incredible save from Onana… wow,” Klopp said to Sky Sports at full-time in reaction to the save.
However, the German manager continued, explaining that he feels his Liverpool team should have won the game and that United relied on two screamers to claim their point.
“We should have won the game, that is clear,” he said. “We should have had other goals in the first half already. No shots in the first half, and 1-0 is the lowest we could expect.
“Really well done from Bruno (Fernandes, for his goal). Then the stadium is coming and we needed a few minutes to settle again and they scored another screamer. We had big chances before and after they scored.
“As far as I’m concerned, we have a point more than we did before. They put an extra shift in, that’s how it is. We will face that again against Everton. Fully deserved equaliser.”
