Jonny Evans reveals dressing room feeling on Erik ten Hag sacking after Villa draw
Jonny Evans has revealed how the Manchester United squad have reacted following rumours that Erik ten Hag could be sacked during the international break.
After a string of poor results, Manchester United managed to secure a 0-0 draw against an in-form Aston Villa at Old Trafford, with both teams walking away with a Premier League point.
Under mounting pressure and with Sir Jim Ratcliffe watching from the stands, Erik ten Hag’s side opted for a cautious, compact approach to ensure they kept a clean sheet.

Speaking after being handed the Player of the Match award, senior centre-back Jonny Evans has reveled that all the talk surrounding Ten Hag’s future has been affecting the players.
“It does affect the players. It’s on our minds too,” Evans told BBC Match of the Day.
“I think the more experience I’ve got in my career I’ve made sure I do everything you I to be ready and give everything I can to the team.
However, Evans also explained that he felt United succeeded in the club’s most important goal of showing the fans that there is a spirit within the team to compete and win games.
“That was the important thing to show the spirit in the team. Everyone competed as much as they could. That’s a pleasing thing to see.
“You never have everyone available throughout the season. It’s important everyone coming in is ready to go when they’re ready.”
