Jamie Carragher thinks Benjamin Šeško has “absolutely sensational” trait as Man Utd trio praised

Benjamin Šeško shone under the Hill Dickinson lights as his arrival onto the pitch changed the entire game amid Manchester United’s 1-0 win over Everton.

Manchester United faced Everton this evening in a vital game to regain their chance for European football this evening.

After a disappointing draw to West Ham United last week, Michael Carrick’s side started this game 5th in the Premier League standings, with Chelsea ahead on goal difference.

To climb back up to fourth, United had to at least draw against the Toffees. The 70th minute saw the best-case scenario, with a goal from super sub Benjamin Sesko, and the game ended 1-0 to the Red Devils. United are now just three points away from Aston Villa, unbeaten in the league since the new year.

Sesko turned the heat up tonight. Coming on in the 57th minute for Amad Diallo, the Slovenian international proved to Carrick and everyone watching why he deserves a spot in the starting lineup.

“Absolutely superb…” Carragher praises United trio

An impeccable cross from Mathues Cunha to Bryan Mbuemo finally landed at Sesko’s feet, slotting the ball past Jordan Pickford and putting the Reds back into their winning ways.

The three midfield summer signings work together almost poetically with a rather stagnant and uneventful evening changing instantly, David Moyes’ side unable to bring one back.

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has praised the trio’s collaboration in tonight’s victory. When covering the post-match on Sky Sports, the pundit argued, “The guy who comes on in Sesko, he’s another player who you can get from one end of the pitch to the other.

“Do you see, now we’ve highlighted Sesko, we see the ball from Bryan Mbeumo, brilliant ball from Cunha. The three outfield signings [are] absolutely superb.

And while recognising the importance of both Cunha’s and Mbeumo’s contributions to the goal, Carragher couldn’t help but single out Sesko, “but he [Sesko] just leaves Tarkowski for dead.

“The pace is absolutely sensational, to run that far and finish with that composure is absolutely outstanding”

Has Sesko secured a starting spot vs Crystal Palace?

Carragher’s praise for the 22-year-old doesn’t stop there, highlighting just how vital Šeško’s arrival was for United this evening.

“He looks like he’s breathing, hasn’t he? He’s gone on, what was he, the fastest on the pitch tonight, over 80 yards.

“You look out, and you think, you’re breathing and panting, but no, he’s still got the energy to really celebrate. And rightly so. At United, I wouldn’t say they had a difficult start, but maybe a slow start he would have liked in this, but as I said, he’s on fire of late.

“And I think we were wondering whether he would start tonight. It almost feels inevitable, like he’s almost put himself into the team.”

It can only be assumed that many United fans will have to reluctantly share the same opinion with the scouser, hoping Sesko will find his way into the starting 11 on Sunday as they host Crystal Palace in their next Premier League fixture.
