Jadon Sancho sends emotional message to Aaron Wan-Bissaka after Man United exit confirmed
Jadon Sancho has sent an emotional message to Aaron Wan-Bissaka after his Manchester United exit was confirmed on Tuesday afternoon.
After five years at Old Trafford, following his £50 million transfer from Crystal Palace in 2019, Wan-Bissaka has moved on to West Ham
The fullback made 190 appearances for Manchester United and was instrumental in their 2023 Carabao Cup and 2024 FA Cup victories.
Now 26, Wan-Bissaka has signed a seven-year contract with The Hammers and will face up against United at the backend of October.
The fullback posted a detailed farewell message to the Old Trafford club on his Instagram page.
“To everyone associated with Manchester United, thank you. You’ve helped me fulfil so many dreams of mine and I leave the club with memories to last me a lifetime,” he wrote.
“I’m so grateful for the love, help and support I’ve had from players and staff during the last five years and wish you all nothing but the best.
“Thank you to the fans, you’ve stuck by us throughout the ups and downs. Appreciate you. Thank you so much, Reds.”
This prompted a response from former United teammate Jadon Sancho, who struck a close relationship with Wan-Bissaka during their time together at the club.
Sancho commented on the post, writing, “My family! all the best brother,” with a love heart and fingers crossed emoji.
The likes of Kobbie Mainoo, David de Gea and Eric Bailly also sent messages to Wan-Bissaka in the comments.
Sancho’s own future at Old Trafford is not certain, with there still being a possibility he will leave before the transfer window closes.
