Bruno Fernandes has been attracting interest from Saudi Arabia but stresses that he remains ‘happy’ at Manchester United.

The attacking midfielder joined United in the 2020 January transfer window and has since become a key member of the team and club captain.

Amidst the growing Saudi Pro League, there have been reports that The Reds are preparing to receive a bid of around £100 million from the league for their star player.

The likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Riyad Mahrez and Karim Benzema have made moves to the emerging league and Fernandes would have been another big statement.

However, United’s no.18 has shut down rumours of a potential move as he explains that ignores what is written about him. The 29-year-old also assured that despite the poor start to the season, he remains happy at Old Trafford.

“I don’t look at transfer rumours and I don’t even pay attention to them,” he told reporters whilst on international duty.

“Today it is very easy to spread rumours in the press. I prefer to focus on my goals. I’m happy where I am.

“In Manchester, the start of the season wasn’t the best, but I’m happy. I’m a person who thinks a lot in the short term, game after game, week after week.

“Thank God I have the opportunity to play every three days. So my attention can’t move away from the matches.”

Fernandes played his 200th game for Manchester United against Fulham before the international break. He scored a last-minute winner to secure the win for Erik ten Hag’s side.
