“I made a promise…” – Benjamin Sesko’s agent releases emotional 35-word message after Manchester United announcement

Benjamin Sesko’s agent has released an emotional 35-word message following his clients move to Manchester United was confirmed.

Manchester United kicked off the summer transfer window in style, securing Matheus Cunha from Wolves on the very first day, followed by the addition of highly rated young defender Diego Leon.

After protracted negotiations, the club also sealed the signing of Bryan Mbeumo, with all three recruits joining Ruben Amorim’s squad for the U.S. pre-season tour.

Now, United have confirmed the capture of RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, completing their overhauled attacking options for the upcoming campaign.

The deal, worth an initial £66 million, will see Sesko officially unveiled at Old Trafford ahead of Saturday afternoon’s friendly against Fiorentina.

Sesko’s agent releases emotional message after United move

Sesko’s agent, Elvis Basanović, was the man who had initially rejected United two years ago when the striker moved to RB Leipzig instead.

Reports have explained that the Reds decided to keep a positive relationship with Basanović afterwards and that he visited Carrington several times.

The agent has now released an emotional message on social media, where he explains how he has fulfilled the promise of a young Sesko to reach the top of the sport.

“Years ago, I made a promise to a young boy with a dream: together, we would reach the very top,” Basanović wrote on his agency’s Instagram page.

“Today, that promise has been fulfilled. Proud of you, Benjamin. The Theatre of Dreams awaits.”

When will Sesko make his United debut?

Sesko will appear at Old Trafford for the first time before the Fiorentina clash on Saturday afternoon but he will not take part in the game.

Instead, the 22-year-old will be eyeing the first game of the Premier League season against Arsenal as his potential debut for the club.

It would be an interesting affair on Sunday 17 August for Sesko, who has been regularly linked with a move to the Gunners in the last year.

But due to his lack of fitness, Sesko would likely only be on the bench for that clash. His first start is unlikely to be until the second game of the season.

That comes away at Fulham on Sunday 24 August. Last term, Joshua Zirkzee scored the winner on his debut against The Cottagers.
