“I love him…” Luis Nani explains how “amazing” star is one step away from becoming Manchester United’s “perfect player”

Luis Nani has explained that one of the stars in Manchester United’s squad could become the “perfect player” by improving one aspect of his game.

Amad has been with Manchester United since January 2021, consistently showing the talent needed to break into the first-team squad at Old Trafford.

The Ivorian winger had to be patient, spending loan spells at Rangers and Sunderland before edging closer to his ultimate goal.

Despite his significant progress, Amad’s place in the team under Erik ten Hag was never guaranteed, as the Dutch manager preferred Antony, who is now on loan at Real Betis.

However, with Ruben Amorim’s arrival at United, the 22-year-old quickly became a key player for the club and was rewarded with a long-term contract at the start of the year.

Unfortunately, after making an impressive start under Amorim, a freak injury in training led to reports suggesting that Amad would miss the rest of the 2024/25 season.

Nani explains how “amazing” Amad can become “perfect player” for United

It has recently been revealed that Amad could return before the end of the season, which would be a huge boost for Amorim’s side.

Ex-United star Luis Nani has revealed that Amad is one of his favourite players at the moment but suggests that there is one way he can take his game to the next level.

If the Ivorian can improve his physicality, Nani believes that he could be the “perfect player” for the club.

“Ah, I love him, to be honest I love him,” Nani smiled after being asked his thoughts on Amad.

“From what he was and what he has become, it’s amazing. The energy, the power, the dribble, the ability to move to one side and the other side. He can shoot, he can score.

“He needs to have more power and work on his strength, to be better physically, and if he does that, he’s the perfect player for United.”

United staff may disagree with Nani about Amad

Ironically, this is something that some people at the club might not completely agree with.

According to information from MailSport reporter Nathan Salt, the Reds believe that Amad is “one of the strongest players in the squad” despite being just 5’8.

It was added that the 22-year-old is deceptively strong, with players not able to get him off the ball in training sessions.

Of course there is always room for improvement, but it feels like the main thing that can take Amad to the next level is by becoming a killer inside the penalty area.

His ability to take on his man in tight spaces is brilliant and opens up chances for him to shoot on a consistent basis. If he can turn those opportunities into goals on a consistent basis, he could become even more important for the team.
