“I don’t think…” Ian Wright and Roy Keane completely agree about Manchester United vs Brighton prediction

Ian Wright and Roy Keane have given their early predictions ahead of Manchester United’s next Premier League fixture, where they host Brighton & Hove Albion.

Manchester United’s turbulent start to the Premier League campaign has recently seen them take a turn for the better, with the Reds securing back-to-back wins.

These successive victories have seen Ruben Amorim’s side climb to ninth in the table on 13 points, with them facing a tough test at home to Brighton & Hove Albion next.

With the Red Devils now flying high, they will be optimistic that they can pick up another three points this weekend, before they take on a couple of difficult away fixtures.

Ahead of the fixture against Fabian Hurzeler’s side, Ian Wright, as well as former United star Roy Keane, have given their early predictions for the tie.

Keane and Wright predictions

When speaking on The Overlap, Gary Neville was teased by his co-star, Wright, as he claimed the former United man was ‘flying high’ off the back of the Reds’ recent results.

“You just jumped on the Liverpool result. You’re just flying high. You’re like flying high on your own supply,” Wright said to Neville, via United In Focus.

“I do think United will win, but I don’t think…” Wright said, before getting interrupted by Keane.

The Irishman then added, “2-1 United. You [Jill Scott] got the next ones. I just jumped in.”

United to stick or twist?

Against Liverpool last weekend, the Reds opted to start the fixture without their new striker, Benjamin Šeško, who was unlucky to be benched following two goals in his last two league games.

Given their opposition, United may have chosen to go for this more defensive approach because they would have expected to go large portions of the game on the back foot.

The Reds are now set to face a side that, despite not having the same level of firepower as Liverpool, like to have a lot of possession and can pose quite a threat.

It will be interesting to see whether Amorim sticks with what worked against Arne Slot’s side, or whether he reverts to a similar structure that worked well against Sunderland the week prior, which would see Šeško start.
