
Manchester United will play the opening friendly of their pre-season schedule next week against long-term rivals Leeds United.
After several weeks of rest, Manchester United’s squad have begun their pre-season preparations this week as Ruben Amorim looks for major improvements to the team.
The opening few days at Carrington has saw new signings Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon getting used to their environment while a number of talented Academy players have also been involved.
United are looking ahead to the upcoming fixtures and while a bulk of their summer will take place in the United States playing the Premier League Summer Series, the Reds also have one game before that tour.
The opening pre-season friendly comes against Leeds in Sweden and all of the details you need to follow that clash can be read below.
United vs Leeds: Date, venue, kick-off time
United will properly begin their pre-season on Saturday, 19 July with this game, which is being played at the Strawberry Arena in Stockholm, Sweden.
The clash against Leeds will kick-off at 14:00 BST, a regular time for those in the United Kingdom, before some more obscure kick-off times when they’re in the States.

As always in the opening friendly games, some players will be in different places in terms of fitness but it is unlikely to see any outfielders play longer than 45 minutes.
Fans are excited to see new faces, with Cunha and Leon set to make their unofficial debuts for the club. Some will be hoping Bryan Mbeumo could be through the door in time for this game.
Leny Yoro was not spotted training on the grass earlier this week and there may be some caution over the defender after his injury towards the back end of last season.
Otherwise, some young talents could be involved too, with Shea Lacey and Bendito Mantato among those in training this week.
Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho, Tyrell Malacia and Antony are not training with the squad amid potential exits and are all unlikely to be involved in this game.
