How to watch Manchester United vs ASEAN All-Stars: Livestreams, kick-off time, team news

Manchester United face up against the ASEAN All-Stars in the first of their two-game post-season tour of the Far East on Wednesday.

It’s been a gruelling season for everyone connected with Manchester United, but following a surprise 2-0 win over Aston Villa on Sunday, the football has finally paused — for just three days.

This week, the Reds have travelled to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to face the ASEAN All-Stars before heading to Hong Kong, China to play against their team.

The short tour is projected to earn the club over £8 million — a welcome financial boost after missing out on Champions League qualification for next season.

Ruben Amorim has brought the bulk of his senior squad on the trip, but a number of promising Academy talents have also been included and are expected to feature prominently in both matches.

With several first-team players nursing injuries from the Villa clash and the squad coming off a physically demanding campaign, the tour offers a valuable opportunity for the club’s youngsters to impress Amorim ahead of the new season.

All of the details you need to follow along with this upcoming game can be read below.

Man Utd vs ASEAN All-Stars: Team news

United have brought a 32-man squad for these encounters and it is only a handful of players not involved. Noussair Mazraoui and Leny Yoro did not travel as they are dealing with small injuries. Lisandro Martínez is also still out of action.

The likes of Joshua Zirkzee, Luke Shaw and Matthijs de Ligt are involved despite the former two rumoured to have got injuries during the Europa League final last week.

Alejandro Garnacho is also there which some would say is a surprise after reports came out that Amorim had told him to find a new club.

Most importantly, there are many exciting youth talents who could get a chance on the pitch. Shea Lacey, Jack Moorhouse and Chido Obi have been chosen to support the attack.
