Manchester United host Liverpool in their third Premier League game of the season this coming weekend.

United have had a mixed start to the new Premier League season, securing a win against Fulham but suffering a last-minute defeat to Brighton.

In contrast, Liverpool’s new manager, Arne Slot, has enjoyed a strong start at Anfield, winning his first two matches of the season.

The two teams will face each other on Sunday, with a victory crucial for Erik ten Hag’s side before the season’s first international break.

Liverpool’s last two trips to Old Trafford have been eventful. One was the staggering 4-3 win in the FA Cup quarter-final, and the other was a 2-2 draw with a beautiful goal from Kobbie Mainoo.

The full details of how to watch the upcoming game can be read below.

Kick-off time and venue

As mentioned, the game will be played at Old Trafford this weekend and Ten Hag will be hoping to start building a positive record at home after last season’s difficulties.

During his first campaign, where United finished third in the league, Ten Hag’s team had an excellent record at Old Trafford and he knows that must be found once again.

Meanwhile, the kick-off time is strange for a Sunday afternoon kick-off. Instead of there being games starting at 2:00pm and 4:30pm in the United Kingdom, this Sunday, it will be at 1:30pm and 4:00pm.

United against Liverpool will be at the latter time slot, 16:00 BST.

TV channel

In the United Kingdom, the game will be available to watch on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football. Meanwhile, international coverage can be found here.

The UtdDistrict X account will also cover the fixture, providing quotes from Ten Hag and the players before and after the match.

Latest team news

United will still be without Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, Leny Yoro, Victor Lindelöf and Rasmus Højlund going into the game.

Manuel Ugarte could be signed in time to play a part in the Reds’ game. He arrived at Carrington for his medical in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Meanwhile, the likes of Joshua Zirkzee and Matthijs de Ligt have now made two appearances from the bench and are likely to be fit enough to start the next game.
