Hidden detail about Ruben Amorim’s dressing room “rage” reveals shocking truth about Manchester United’s display
Ruben Amorim furiously ranted at his Manchester United players and broke a TV in the dressing room after the defeat to Brighton on the weekend.
Manchester United lost 3-1 against Brighton on Sunday afternoon after putting in an underwhelming display for the second game running at Old Trafford.
Amad’s hat-trick heroics saved the team’s blushes against Premier League relegation favourites Southampton but the same could not be done against The Seagulls.
Ruben Amorim was extremely unhappy after the game and suggested to the media that the team may be the worst in the club’s history.
The Portuguese coach did not pull any punches in the dressing room either, with UtdMenace reporting that the 39-year-old “unleashed a rage” to his players.
It was further explained that every player was made aware of their shortcomings and that the squad were silent afterwards, with tears being shed.
The Athletic followed up this rumour by reporting that Amorim had broken the TV used for analysis in the dressing room in this rant.
Hidden detail of Amorim’s rage reveals truth about display
More importantly, however, is the context behind Amorim’s supposed actions.
The Athletic’s article also detailed that players was struck by the manager’s reaction, mainly because he usually does not say anything in the dressing room straight after games.
During his entire coaching career so far, he has decided against conducting post-match debriefs with his squad and instead addresses them at the training ground the next day.
This was also reported in December after it was claimed that he ‘said nothing’ to his players after the 2-0 defeat to Wolves.
For Amorim to abandon that approach and slam his players in the dressing room after the game, it shows just how bad the performance was in his eyes. There have already been poor displays, but this shows that a line was crossed.

It is also an accumulation of things, with the head coach still wondering why they can turn up against the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal but not Southampton or Brighton.
He has previously claimed that everyone at United needs a “shock” and this appears to be another attempt to get a reaction from his players.
