“He can…” – Michael Carrick highlights key Bryan Mbeumo attribute that will help Man Utd be successful

Ex-Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick has highlighted a key attribute Bryan Mbeumo has that will help his former club be successful.

Manchester United’s four summer recruits; Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, Benjamin Šeško and Senne Lammens; amounted to more than £200 million in spending under Ruben Amorim.

Although Lammens has quickly become a fan favourite and Šeško has delivered some strong performances, it is Cunha and Mbeumo who have made the most significant impact on Amorim’s side so far.

Mbeumo leads the club’s scoring charts with six goals, five of them in the Premier League, while Cunha has been crucial in impressive victories over teams such as Liverpool and Brighton.

United have suffered just one defeat in their last seven Premier League matches and are aiming to continue climbing the table as a congested winter period approaches.

Carrick highlights key Mbeumo attribute that will help United

Mbeumo was one of the most outstanding forward players in the Premier League last season as he scored 20 goals for Brentford.

But still, United fans are surprised at the level of quality the Cameroon International possesses and Michael Carrick is also a big fan of the 26-year-old.

The ex-United midfielder believes that one of Mbeumo’s key attributes is the fact that he can handle the pressure of being at Old Trafford.

“I like their new signings. Particularly, Cunha and Mbeumo,” Carrick explained, as per United In Focus.

“I like Mbeumo, he looks like he can cope with being at a big club and in a successful team. There are shoots, but it’s just consistency.

“You look at Liverpool, Arsenal, and City, consistency gets you a long way in this league.”

United showing battle in recent games

United have had many quality players over the last decade but the weight of the shirt has led to most of them failing to make a positive impact.

Mbeumo is showing that he can carry the burden of playing for the club and having players like that will only help others within the squad.

While performances have not been perfect recently, we are seeing the Reds battle when things are getting difficult and that wasn’t something that occurred last term and that is partly down to the mentality of the new additions.
