Harry Maguire has explained the three things Sir Dave Brailsford told Manchester United’s players during a squad meeting earlier this year.

Sir Dave Brailsford has started working on Manchester United’s footballing board as part of Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS’ huge overhaul of the footballing side of the Old Trafford club.

Brailsford is well known for his brilliant ability to build sustainable winning institutions, with many hoping he can install the same mentality back at United.

Earlier this year, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sir Dave Brailsford visited the Carrington training complex, where they held a meeting with the entire first-team squad.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Harry Maguire has now revealed the three things that Brailsford spoke about during their meeting.

“The way that they want to work, the way that they see the club and where we’re at at the moment, and where they want to take us,” Maguire detailed.

“I think the lads came out of the meeting really impressed with how he spoke. It gives us great motivation for everyone in the room to want to fight for the badge and fight for this club and to stay on this journey with everybody involved.

“Like I said, it’s exciting times for the club because you’ve seen he’s brought that fresh energy because we feel like now it’ll move the club in the right direction.”
