“Give him the keys” – Ruben Amorim told to build Manchester United team around “unbelievable” star
Ruben Amorim has been told to build his Manchester United team around one player in the coming years.
Manchester United have had a really difficult season so far and new head coach Ruben Amorim has struggled to turn things around since arriving in November.
The Reds remain in the bottom half of the Premier League table and still have a negative goal difference, with goals difficult to come by for the team.
Patrick Dorgu and Ayden Heaven are the two January signings that have come into the squad, with the depth up front depleting after Marcus Rashford and Antony departed on loan.
One of the few positives of the season so far has been the performances of Amad after he broke into the team under Amorim.
Amorim should give Amad the keys to United team
Amad has scored nine goals and registered seven assists so far this campaign and has been able to produce consistent performances in a difficult period.
Former United striker Louis Saha believes that Amad has the potential to be the player Amorim builds around.
Saha told spaceportsweden.com: “You can see that Amad is obsessed about his football, you can see that he wants to entertain the fans, and he’s got a real connection with the United fans.
“Ruben Amorim can play him in any position, and he knows that he will get a performance out of him. Amorim should give him the keys to this United team.
“They should build around this guy because he’s that good.”
Saha compares Amad to three United greats
Saha played alongside some of the greatest players in United’s history during his four-year stint at Old Trafford.
He knows exactly the kind of work some of the top players, including Cristiano Ronaldo, put in behind the scenes to become world class players.
Amad has regularly been labelled as one of the best trainers, even dating back to his time on loan at Rangers.
That dedication on the training pitch is reflected on the pitch and Amad has quickly proven how hungry he is to succeed.
Saha suggests that it is the same kind of trait that he saw in the likes of Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney and Ryan Giggs during his time at the club.
“What Amad’s done in terms of energy, in terms of his impact, it’s unbelievable,” the 46-year-old added.

“I remember back in the day, I saw Cristiano, I saw Wayne Rooney, I saw Giggsy train. He’s got the same dedication. He’s got the same desire. He’s got the same level of dedication.”
