“Give him a chance” – Erik ten Hag called to play Manchester United wildcard
Ex-Manchester United player Mikael Silvestre has implored Erik ten Hag to give one forward at the club a chance.
The former United defender will be well aware of what it takes to win at the club, having been a regular starter at the club throughout the early 2000s.
Winning five Premier League titles whilst at United, Silvestre, who was part of the France team that finished as runners-up in the 2006 World Cup, offered his thoughts on who should be starting for Erik ten Hag going forward.

With United ranking amongst the bottom sides for goals scored in the Premier League this season, there is a need for the club to improve immediately.
Speaking to bettingexpert, Silvestre suggested that Amad Diallo may be part of the solution to the club’s problem, and should therefore get given a chance.
“We haven’t seen Amad Diallo enough to judge him, but he needs to be given the chance at some point, maybe after Christmas when there are a lot of games,” he said.
Though he voiced his desire for Amad to play more regularly, Silvestre also acknowledged that the winger won’t be able to just walk into the side, adding:
“We know he is talented, but playing for Man United on a regular basis is difficult.”
Amad is yet to start a game this season, having only recently returned from injury against Nottingham Forest.
Despite United losing that game, Amad’s thirty-five-minute cameo off the bench was, for many, the highlight of the match, putting the winger in good stead to start against Wigan this coming Monday.
